erm can u like help me pass the msg around that we already hav a forum? :)
iv got some news to tell all of you..

firstly, sorry that i hav not updated u al for some time..
next..
most probably, we form our own team..
and start training on our own for the june race..
june race will be held on the 28th and 29th june 2008..
its because this is the second week after the april race,
and that the committee has not approved to let us train yet..
without a valid reason in fact..
but i saw the past two weeks that there are two aljunied GRC boats in training, i.e. the boat that we used for training..
i wonder if u all would like to start up a new team..

but there is only one downside, funds..
we need to get our own funds for training..
most likely it will be 2 dollars per session, or if at most $5..
the boat rental costs $45 per 2 hours..
apart from that, we wont be using the black paddles anymore..
but rather the old wooden paddles..
the heavy ones for those who have not bought their paddles..
and also, life vests..

i understand it will be tough for some of u to fork out some money evry week.. but if we really want to stay as a team..
if we really want to stay in this sport..
if the passoin for dragon boat is in us..
and if we always want to stay as a team..
if we do not want all our previous efforts and bonding to be left aside.. this is one way to keep it alive..
i would like to hear ur votes..
because registration for the june race will be open in mid to end may..
we hav to start training..
ok guys?

for those working adults, work to ur best..

if we can't train together as eunos csc, then we can train on our own. i'm in to it too. been working out some sweat daily. in the meantime everyone can do his/her part by doing our own training.

to those who are studying, study hard and not let this thing about not getting to train bother u. if i am not mistaken, now is exam season so concentrate on that.
forming a team to train together is something i have to think hard. i may lack the energy or enthusiasm of the young ones. i wait and see first.

hey!! dudes... i cant wait for the training to start... and... by the way, i got 2 frenz who may be interested to join us as well... hope i'll be able to bring them down on our "FIRST" training... and 1 more thing... since eunos doesn't want us, y r we still using their name?? can we change it??

there's goin to be some action on the waters. same team, same time, same place and with more passion this time. anyway there will be some kind of sponsorship (just a small amount actually) for the training sessions from some of us. see u there!

ok heres the situation..
the PA boathouse called me..
they said..
in order for us to be able to row..
that is, we have to be a Sea Sports Club member..
or a PA afiliate..
it costs $80 for 3 years..
wif this $80 lump sum amount..
we will be able to train using their boat..
for $45 per session..
and $50 for coach..

so..
its no an obligation for u all to pay..
because i understand it is very very hard..
to pay $80 and a weekly amout of $4 is very heavy..

the reason we were able to train earlier..
was because we were under eunos CSC..
and that they are an affiliate to PA..

so..
if evryone would join as a member,
then we cud paddle using their boat at $45..
it is, honestly not an obligation..
but if u all are still willing to pay for it..
its a one time payment anyway.
then we wud be able to once again train..
i know u are all still interested..
but..
money always hinders it..

i hope to hear ur replies fellow paddlers..
